Annette Sicotte is a painter working from her studio in BC and her home in Alberta. The western Canadian landscape informs her work in both obvious and subtle ways. Annette studied at the University of Alberta and was awarded the Helen Moseson Samuel Scholarship in 1992.Β  She studied drawing, painting and design in the various disciplines of theatre, fine art and textile design and has been creating and studying fine art ever since.Β  Annette has lectured at the University of Alberta Faculty of Extension on colour and taught art techniques at the Strathcona County Arts Program.Β  Her paintings are included in public, corporate and private art collections in Canada, the United States and the UK.

I have been creating art one way or another since I was a child.

Why is it important for people to have art in their home or life?

Art in your home brings you back to who you truly are. It speaks quietly to your soul and reminds you of the beauty this world holds.
